August 29, 2003

New! Even MORE Pictures of Mars taken here at Villanova!
Newer Still! Even MORE Pictures of Mars taken here at Villanova, but without the sometimes annoying frames!

A lot has happened this week already, and Friday is the day! On the 29th of August, we will be sponsering a guest lecture as well as an open house. We are hosting

Dr. David Klassen of Rowan University
"Mars through the Infrared Lens"
4 PM, Mendel Science Center room 102

The open house is also scheduled for the 29th of August, from 8-10 PM. If you'd like to come visit us before then, it is on an individual basis. We ask that you call AHEAD of time, 610-519-7485, to schedule. Please try to call in the afternoon, as you will have the greatest chance of catching one of us! See Mars at it's finest!

Whether you choose Planes, Trains, or Automobiles, the trip out to Villanova is quite simple and direct.

Directions to the Main Campus can be found here

The meeting will be held in the Mendel Science Center.

If you are driving, the best place to park would be the "Spring Mill" lot. Turn north on Rt. 320 (Spring Mill Rd.) from Rt. 30 (Lancaster Ave.) and travel approximately 0.4 miles. Turn right immediately after crossing over the R-5 train tracks and proceed straight into the parking lot. You will want to park back towards the train station to be closest to the Mendel Science Center. Be sure that you DO NOT park in the separate SEPTA lot - they will tow your vehicle!

If you take SEPTA's R-5 train, the "Villanova" stop is directly north of the Mendel Science Center. If you are coming from the Philadelphia direction, simply walk through the tunnel under the tracks and the proper building will be in front of you.
